On January 15th, Starworks Assembly and Packaging celebrated their 15th anniversary. For those who haven’t heard, Starworks is one of our social enterprises that provides kitting, assembly, packaging and assembly services. It was founded to create and sustain competitive employment for individuals with developmental disabilities. Today, Starworks employs over 45 individuals with disabilities including Down syndrome and autism and has worked with likeminded socially responsible Organizations like Vancity, BC Hydro and Fairware. It operates as a business and receives no government funding.
