Making Voting Accessible

The Vancouver and Richmond municipal elections are quickly approaching, but it’s not too late to make sure you’re ready to vote. Each election is an opportunity to influence the communities we live in, and every individual has a right to make their beliefs known. You can register to vote in Vancouver here, and register to vote in Richmond here. Both elections will be held on October 15th.

This year, the Vancouver municipal election will feature a new accessible measure to help you make your voice heard. It’s called the Homebound Voting program, which will be sending election workers to the homes of people who, for one reason or another, cannot make it to the voting booths around the city. Two election officials will be sent to homes to help participants cast their ballots confidentially. To register for this service, you can visit the Vancouver Homebound Voting registration page before October 11th.
