After 39 years of dedicated service, Donna Cain is retiring from DDA, leaving behind a lasting impact on the organization and the people it supports.
Donna currently serves as Director of Living Options, overseeing 19 group homes and staff. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to ensuring individuals with developmental disabilities are supported to live meaningful, independent lives in their communities.
Donna began her career with the Association in 1987, starting as a care worker in one of our group homes. Even before Donna started at DDA, she came with her mother and volunteered in our vocational programs while still in high school. She considers herself lucky to collaborate with such dedicated colleagues and to support individuals and families who continue to inspire her every day. Donna is deeply committed to inclusive, person-centred services and is grateful to have played a role in this meaningful work.
As Donna enters retirement, she leaves behind a strong Living Options program and a legacy built on respect, care, and dedication. DDA thanks Donna for her many years of service, and DDA wishes her all the best in this next chapter.
