IS CLOTHING WASTE A PROBLEM?

With the continuous rise of fast fashion, consumers are buying more for less, making clothing seem more disposable. It costs 1800 gallons of water to make one pair of jeans, but that pair will most likely be thrown away less than 5 years after it’s purchased.

HOW MUCH CLOTHING DO WE ACTUALLY WASTE?

Instead of throwing old clothes away, donate to DDA and give your clothes a second chance. This prevents synthetic, non-biodegradable materials from reaching the landfill, and increases the item’s lifespan!

WHERE DO THE DONATIONS GO?

We sell your donations to Value Village, and 100% of those profits are used to fund improvements in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
