The theme of this year’s Annual Report is Transitions. It’s easy to see why. The world, and DDA along with it, is having to transition from one way of doing things to another, often at a moment’s notice.
COVID has certainly changed a lot of things, and DDA has met each challenge head on. That is the power and flexibility of DDA. Our teams don’t know the meaning of the word quit, in fact, they don’t even rest when times get tough. Through it all we have been able to maintain the level of advocacy and support our staff, clients, and their families are used to. That says a lot about the people in our organization.
This past year we’ve made many changes that help streamline processes and keep moving forward. From getting rid of 50% of our paper storage to our IT department ensuring those who can work from home can do so without missing a beat. From moving communications online to moving family support online, it been a literal virtual year since March 2020.
