Residents and staff from our Curzon group home recently embarked on an exciting and immersive day trip to the Riverside Cranberry Farm in the beautiful Fraser Valley. The outing offered a unique opportunity for everyone to connect with nature, learn about the cranberry harvest process, and enjoy a day filled with laughter and exploration.
Upon arrival, our group was warmly welcomed by the farm staff, who led us through a hands-on tour of the cranberry bogs. Residents and staff alike donned waders and took the chance to step into the vibrant, ruby-red waters of the bog—a truly sensory experience that brought the harvest process to life! Participants were delighted to learn about the cranberry’s journey from field to table and see firsthand how these tart little berries are harvested.
The Riverside Cranberry Farm trip was a memorable day filled with camaraderie, education, and fun. It served as a wonderful reminder of the joy and enrichment that comes from exploring new places together, leaving our group with shared memories to treasure for years to come.
