Job Title: Community Support Worker
Location: Vancouver
Start Date: ASAP
Term/Status: Casual
Hourly Wage: $28.25 + 10.6% in lieu of benefits

Requirements/Education/Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in area directly related to supporting people with developmental disabilities such as Social Sciences, Human Services, or Education
  • 1 – 2 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Experience with Dual Diagnosis preferred
  • Must be able to safely support clients in swim & water relaxation in community pools – includes entry into chlorinated water
  • Minimum availability of 3 shifts per week
  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Class 4 Driver’s License OR use of  a vehicle for work with business class insurance
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
  • Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Position involves assisting clients with personal care needs

Training is provided for: Client personal care & Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
