Service Area: Vocational & Community Services
Location: Vancouver, BC
Start Date: May 04, 2026 (Ending August 21, 2026)
Term/Status: Temporary Full Time
Schedule/Hours: Flex based schedule // 37.5 hours per week
Hourly Wage:
$22.66 as per the collective agreement

The Role:

The Career Development Facilitator will work with our Employment Services team to support adults and transitioning youth with developmental disabilities and barriers to employment to prepare for, seek and/or maintain employment. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of tasks and activities that support individuals in community based employment. This position is best suited for a highly organized individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who is seeking a career in Career Development, Community Support, or Human Resources training.

*This position is subject to funding by Canada summer jobs. Position is conditional based on approval of application request by Service Canada.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education or training in a related field (Social Services, Human Services, or Education)
  • Must be between ages of 18-30 at intake time, legally entitled to work in Canada

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working with adults with barriers to employment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement instructional and other support programs.
  • Experience working in a professional team environment

Standard requirements of the Career Development Facilitator include:

  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Valid class 5 Driver’s licence and use of a car is an asset
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
  • Demonstrated competency in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • Must be Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold Refugee Status
