Starworks Packaging and Assembly Celebrates 15 Years

January 15th, 2015, Vancouver, BC – Starworks Packaging and Assembly, a local social enterprise founded by the Developmental Disabilities Association marks 15 years of business providing kitting, packaging, fulfillment and assembly services.

Starworks was founded to create and sustain competitive employment for individuals with developmental disabilities. Today, Starworks employs over 45 individuals with disabilities including Down syndrome and autism. Over the past 15 years, Starworks has paid approximately $1.8 million in wages, supported dozens of students for practicum and training opportunities from local colleges and employment agencies, and competitively employed over 80 individuals. As a social enterprise Starworks operates as a business and receives no government funding.

In addition to community impact, Starworks provides its customers with exceptional services and wouldn’t be able to celebrate 15 years of business without the trust and business of customers.
