Early Childhood Educators

Early Childhood Educators work at preschools and daycares, looking after typical children, as well as children with developmental disabilities. Shifts are daytime, Monday to Friday, casual/on call.

You must have completed Grade 12, and have commenced the training required for an Early Childhood Educator Certificate, or have already obtained it. You must also have at least six months experience in a group care setting for preschool aged children, as well as strong oral and written skills. You must have first aid and CPR, and will be required to obtain some clearances.

Wages start at $17.36 per hour, with yearly increases.
