Acceptable Items
Clothing Donations
By donating clothes to the DDA you help benefit our community. Through your donations, valuable reusable material is kept out of landfills, thus reducing energy and material consumption.
We accept the following items at our clothing donation bins:
- Clothes (men, women, and children's)
- Accessories (ties, hats, belts)
- Table linens
- Sleeping bags
- Towels
- Bathing suits and undergarments
Through home pickups, we accept all of the above including:
- Books
- Electronics
- Sporting gear
- Toys and games
- Pots and pans
- CDs, DVDs and records
- Stationery supplies
Through our donation station (drop-offs), we accept all of the above including:
- Glassware
We are currently not accepting furniture. All donated items must be in working order, and cannot be soiled, torn, or potentially hazardous.
We do not accept:
- Weapons, firearms, explosives
- Hazardous waste, flammable products
- Batteries, chemicals, cleaning products
- Construction materials (wood,, pipes, doors, tubs, cabinets)
- Large appliances (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, heaters)
- Automobile parts
- Waterbeds
- Stereo consoles
- Computer monitors
- Car seats
- Swing sets
- Cribs
- Food
Bottle Donations
We accept the following items at our bottle donation bins:
- Plastic bottles (soft drink, water, coolers, spirits)
- Glass bottles (wine, beer, cooler, liqueurs)
- Drink cans
- Polycoat containers (drink boxes, drink cartons)
- Drink pouches (wine bags, juice bags)
We do not accept any containers for milk products.
