DDA's 60th Anniversary

"Out of small acorns, big oak trees grow." - Bea Purdy

It has already been 60 years since a group of 12 wilful parents of children with developmental disabilities came together to integrate their children into public schools. Their persistence and efforts have rewarded them with something much greater, known as Developmental Disabilities Association.

This year, we are celebrating our 60th anniversary as a community living agency that supports over 1,600 individuals and families each year with their 50 community-based programs and services to children, adults and families with developmental disabilities in Vancouver and Richmond.

Whether you are a member, client, or donor, we want to invite you to join us in celebrating our anniversary and to another amazing 60 years to come at our events lined up this year.

February - Art Show & Sale
Celebrate DDA's artists at our wine & cheese art show & sale on Wednesday, February 29th from 7pm to 9pm at the Museum of Vancouver (1100 Chestnut Street, Vancouver BC V6J 3J9). For more information, please contact Martyn Woolley at 604.322.0052.

March - Spring Fashion Extravaganza
Join CTV Morning Live anchor Norma Reid at the Vancouver Chinatown Lionness Committee Spring Fashion Extravaganza on March 4th, 2012. All funds raised will benefit DDA's Vancouver Infant Development Program.

July - DDA Night at the Nat
Join us on Wednesday, July 25th, 2012 at the Vancouver Canadians Game. More details to come.
